Laura Koon is a Physician Assistant, board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).  She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.  Laura has experience working in family medicine, gastroenterology, and pain management. Knowing that pain and other symptoms of neuropathy can have a substantially negative impact on a person’s quality of life, she is excited to work with National Neuropathy Centers to offer treatment options other than just medications, but treatments targeting the source of symptoms to promote healing and restoration. She believes in encouraging and empowering patients to be advocates for their health and well-being and enjoys being a part of the healing journey with them.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending her free time with her husband.  Their favorite activities include boating, cooking, visiting wineries and breweries, hanging out with their adult children, and being with their grandchildren.
