Jenna is an adult gerontology acute care Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is born & raised in the Richmond Metro area. Jenna got her start in healthcare in high school and joined the volunteer rescue squad and fire department, enrolling in an EMT-B course in her junior year and then enrolling in the fire academy in her senior year. Immediately after graduating from the fire academy and high school, Jenna enrolled in a EMT-Paramedic class while working EMS in the City of Richmond. She subsequently went on to work for the City of Richmond and Hanover County as a 911 Communications Officer.

Jenna decided that she needed a change and enrolled in nursing school, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. It took a while to find her niche, but found that the ICU was her bread & butter! She has worked in neuroscience, surgical/trauma, and medical ICUs. Once the pandemic started,Jenna traveled the US to help others in Florida, California, and Virginia. It was during this time that Jenna began to feel burn out and extreme mental burden therefore she decided to enroll in Nurse Practitioner school and ultimately obtaining a Master’s degree in Nursing.

Jenna enjoys bonding with patients and their families, getting to know them, and critically thinking. She enjoys learning new things and being an advocate for patients. Jenna follows the principles of "If you're early, you're on time and if you're on time, you're late" that was instilled in her at a young age while having several military family members. She always says that if you aren't learning something new every day, then it may be time to find another career. Since joining the NNC family, she has already seen so much improvement in patients.

Jenna is married to a Firefighter/Medic and together they have 2 young children: River (3.5) and Keegan (18 mo). Fun Fact: Keegan was born on Leap Day! Their family also consists of 3 dogs: Colton (Pit mix), Lilly (American Staff), and Jolene (French Bulldog). In her spare time, she can be found hanging with her family or feeding/watching the birds, rabbits, and squirrels with her daughter. We recently bought a Bird Buddy feeder that has a camera, and we can watch the birds up close! We love to travel and take road trips!
